A year after Proof by Contradiction. Ewan has moved in: eleven boxes, two shelves, a bookcase bought together and sworn over. Laurence is ironing a linen shirt for Pride, and in the drawer where he keeps the things he doesn't talk about there is a rainbow pin he bought at twenty-four and never wore.
One day in Manchester. Glitter, a hand held in the open air, a candlelit vigil, and Laurence, who does geometry on instinct, finally taking his time.
Told by Ewan. Explicit, affectionate, and it gives away how the novel ends, so read Proof by Contradiction first.
Content notes
explicit sex on the page between consenting adults, references to historical homophobia (the prosecution of Alan Turing), a candlelit vigil for people lost to HIV and AIDS, alcohol.
